Tonight's Agenda

I'm meeting some friends tonight at someplace called Bill's, which I guess is up on Capitol Hill. I've never been there, so I don't have any idea what sort of place it is. The email mentioned Pizza. Later, we're going to Linda's, which is this fairly popular dive bar-ish watering hole. I haven't been there in years but I remember being less than impressed.

On Tuesday, I'm going to happy hour at Twist, which is this club in Belltown. I've never been there, but it's supposed to be pretty good. This is part of the Seattle Singles meetup group, which I signed up for last week. Then, on Thursday, it's my second shot at Speed Dating. This is at Ibiza in Seattle. I did it last month and had a good time. Several younger, cute girls gave me a thumbs up, but they didn't respond to my email. I'm guessing they filtered me out when they saw my age (I was listed on the site as 37 years old). This time, I've redefined myself as age 33 to see if that makes a difference. For the record, I'm actually 38 years old, although people often comment that I look much younger. Thank God for that!

I've been working on something I'm calling my "Personal Manifesto". This is basically a list of goals and stuff I need to do to reach those goals. I haven't worked on it for about a week. I need to crack it open and get it posted up here, even if it is a work in progress.

Hopefully you'll post on how the speed dating goes. I tried it but found it didn't give me enough time to either get or give a good impression of the other person.I hooked up with Events and Adventures and have met some great people -- haven't found my soul-mate yet, but I'm having so much fun it doesn't matter for now. Yeah, it costs a little money, but I've done cooking classes (I passed on the sky diving), and been on a couple of their longer trips to New York last December and the Bourbon and Horses tour of Kentucky this last spring. Check 'em out.
